A life with Type 1 Diabetes is neither easy nor fair. In partnership with the Swedish Childhood Diabetes Foundation and tech partner Causality Agency, Augur has embarked on a mission to make life a little easier for teenagers with Type 1 Diabetes.
Recent research reveals the power of using digital tools to connect individuals living with chronic conditions. It highlights the importance of a social online network, where people can virtually share experiences and provide vital support to one another.
Augur, in collaboration with Barndiabetesfonden (Swedish Childhood Diabetes Foundation) and Causality Agency, has embarked on a partnership to develop a peer support smartphone app. We involve teenagers with Type 1 Diabetes in every step of the development process – co-creating everything from discussion topics to tonality and graphic design – to ensure that the app is fully tailored to the needs of the users.
In this unique space, teenagers with Type 1 Diabetes can easily connect with others who share their journey. It's a place where they can share experiences and tips, offer support, and receive uplifting messages – a place where they can find comfort and guidance from like-minded individuals who know exactly what they are going through.
This support aims to facilitate self-care and complement the medical care provided at hospitals, making life for teenagers with Type 1 Diabetes more manageable and enjoyable.
The app will be launched in October. Don’t hesitate to send us an e-mail if you want to hear more 😀
